To twist / play and watch live video using the VLC Media Player, you first load the video file as usual. You can drag and drop files into VLC Media Player video, or press Ctrl + O or click Media> Open File. Then click on Tools in the menu bar and select Effects and Filters. Go to the tab "View Effects" and on the "Basic", checks to enable the "Transform".
You can reverse the video vertically / horizontally or rotate the angle becomes 90/180/270 degrees. Click Close and then play the video again. You will notice that the video is being played behind or played directly according to your choice. This obviously saves time if you do not need to permanently reverse video and VLC Media Player can run on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
