Pleasant Surprise, June 16, 2009I recently upgraded the TV and AV receiver in my main family room and the old units were relegated to the basement family room, so I needed an HT speaker system to go with them. Since the room is only occasionally used I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money. I was actually a bit skeptical when I stumbled across these… after all, how good could they be for $118? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by just how good these sounded. Amazing, actually, for the size and cost. They produce a natural and room filling sound driven by my old Onkyo TX-NR801 receiver (100w/ch).
Based on my experience my son has ordered a set for his bedrooom system.
kick butt, June 1, 2009bought these 6 months ago for a onkyo low end surround sound system and they kick butt!!! unreal sound for just over 100 bucks. even music sounds great. my wife, who usually doesn’t care about things like this, even commented how good the sound was while watching a movie – just like the theater. these are a great deal!!
